Kenya Ladies XI is set to play seven matches against neighbors Uganda in a one week long tour which is to start September 1.
According to the itinerary released by Uganda Cricket Association (UCA), the team will start their tour by playing two 50 overs matches.
The first match will be played at Entebbe Oval on Sept 1 with the second match being played on the following day Sept 2 at Kyambogo University Grounds.
After the two 50 overs matches, the two teams will fight it out in the T20’s. A total of five T20’s starting on Thursday 6 at Kyambogo.
Two matches will be played on each day apart from Saturday 8 when the match will be played in the afternoon.
All the T20 matches will be hosted at Kyambogo.
Kenya will be using the tour to prepare for forthcoming ICC-Africa T20 World Cup Qualifiers and the Africa Junior Championships in Tanzania in December.
Kenya last toured Uganda in December last year when they took part in the Africa Women T20 Championships.
It will be the first time; Kenya will be touring Uganda for a series of build up matches. Uganda has toured Kenya twice in the past in 2001 and in 2005.
Kenya squad for the tour has not been announced but it might be finalized during this weekend after a series of matches in Nairobi.
