A strong provisional squad of 20 players for the Africa Junior Girls Cricket Championships has been named.
The squad was named after the completion of the inaugural Cricket Kenya Junior Girls National Championships at Greensteads International School, Nakuru.
The tournament will be held in December at a venue yet to be confirmed by Africa Cricket Association.

Missing from the squad that competed at last year’s show in Tanzania where Kenya finished joined second with Botswana is Lydia Kariuki, Monica Demasho and Rose Jeptoo.
Mako Wako and Caroline Nduku who missed last year’s event despite their two years experience at that level are making a comeback into the squad that will start training soon.
Nina Anyango, Jackline Adhiambo, Amy Mkirema, Triza Nduku, Daisy Wairimu, Esther Wangare, Elizabeth Wangui and Edith Wanjiru, are all awaiting their full international debuts.
Regulars in the squad are Barbara Ambiyo, Caroline Nyambura Jane Achieng, Sharon Odera and Hannah Ngina. The three have played for the junior team for close to three years.
