All-round Irish performance demolish Kenya in T20 Qualifier
Irish skipper William Porterfield scored a quick fire 56 to help Ireland secure a 10-wicket victory over Kenya in the second round of group matches at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
Kenya who chose to bat after winning the toss succumbed to Paul Rankin’s pace who ended up picking 3 for 20 off his 4 overs. The Irish were off to a flyer in their chase of the small target of 72 as the Kenyans tried every trick to stop them in their tracks unsuccessfully. Porterfield’s innings the chief contributor in the chase faced just 27 balls and struck 8 fours and 3 sixes in his explosive inning.
