Obanda stars as Kenya dodges showers to beat visitors
Alex Obanda continued with his impressive batting display with another explosive 42-ball 60 to help Kenya beat neighbouring Uganda by 6 wickets at Nairobi Gymkhana.
Obanda followed up his previous half-centuries with a trademark exhibition that included two boundaries and three sixes combining well with Rakep Patel who notched up 40 from 35 balls.
They put together a 77-run third wicket partnership that put paid to Ugandan hopes of winning the game, they came together at 33 for 3 after 6.4 overs and strung together runs in singles and doubles before exploding in the latter stages to see Kenya home.
Earlier on, Uganda had posted 126 for 7 with Roger Mukasa ‘s (41) and Lawrence Sematimba (43) top scoring for the visitors.
