Chairman of Selectors Alpesh Vader said: ‘This is an important tour ahead of a key period of fixtures in the next few months with Intercontinental Cup, World Cup Qualifiers and ranking T20 matches against Ireland in Mombasa in February and then the Twenty20 World Cup qualifiers in Dubai in March.

‘These players have an excellent opportunity to cement places for themselves in those squads and also specific roles within the team itself. We are looking to bed down combinations, for individuals to start producing match winning contributions and for the team to develop a winning culture.’
