National Girls Secondary School League 2011 gets underway
CRICKET KENYA GIRLS SECONDARY SCHOOLS LEAGUE
The National Girls Secondary School League 2011 gets underway on Saturday 21st May 2011 in Nairobi and Nakuru.
The League is part of Cricket Kenya long term plan to develop and spread cricket amongst the Ladies in the country.
For the first time we will have a team from Rift Valley playing in this event. This is aimed at spreading cricket amongst ladies countrywide. Matches in Rift Valley will be played at Greensteads International School while in Nairobi will be played at Ruaraka Sports Club and Eastliegh High School grounds.
The teams taking part are defending champions City Park Girls Centre, former champions Kenya High, Mount Larvena, Ruarka High School, Peter Kibukosya and Rift Valley Development Select. Apart from City Park side and Kenya High, the other four teams are participating for the first time.
The league will run for six weeks and it will involve six teams. Matches will be played in Nakuru and Nairobi.
